  15. I'd check your modem manual, but on my Practical Peripherals
  16. The manual says the following about adding something to the init
  17. string.

  19. W0    Do not return negotiation message * default
  20. W1    Display CONNECT message using DTE 
  21. W2    Display CONNECT message using DCE
  22.
